摘要:The aim of this study was to explain the relationships between reaction times and balance in elite badminton players. 12 elite Turkish badminton players were voluntarily participated in this study from different Badminton clubs. Subjects’ age, height, weight and training year were 22.16 ± 4.80 year, 182.75 ± 6.42 cm, 74.16 ± 8.21 kg ve 7.41 ± 5.80 year respectively. Visual and auditory reaction times were measured by Newtest 1000 reaction timer and Stability Platform Lafayette (16020) was used to test dynamic balance of players. The data was analyzed by using “descriptive statistic ” and “Pearson Product Correlation” in SPSS 14 package program. The average reaction times of subjects for right and left hand were 212.91 ± 25.92 msec and 225.33 ± 33.49 msec respectively. Subjects’ auditory reaction time was 197.91± 33.14 msec. Right and left dynamic balance scores were obtained 18.61 ± 2.53 sec and 19.38 ± 3.73 sec. respectively. In conclusion, ıt was not found any correlation between reaction time and balance of elite male badminton players. Key words: Badminton, Reaction Time, Balance
