摘要：This article deals with the spatial and social formation of the Tocantins State and the main objective is to identify the Basic Economics Duality of Tocantins. And from a determined reading on Rangel (2005) we believe that there is a kind of heterogenity in the Brazilian spatial and social formation that needs to be better studied and understood. Thus, when using an analytical methodology proposed by this author, about the Economics Duality of the Brazilian people, it is possible to view some issues related to the agreement of regional resources and the former State of Goiás, being the economy structure of Tocantins.
