摘要:Approved in December 1925, the Vacation Law is still a measure that has received little attention in the historiography. It looks like the right came "from above" in an attempt of the Brazilian state to legislate on matters that not constituted the classic claim agendas of the working class. So, instead of appearing as achievements, the vacations would appear as a "gift". However, specially since its adoption, the vacation became a flag and was able to articulate sectors of the labor movement around its compliance all over the country. Thus, this paper aims to take stock of workers mobilizations around that law, as well as some attempts to fraud it from the Brazilian industrial bourgeoisie between 1930 and 1935 in the cities of Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
