摘要：O presente artigo é um ensaio teórico acerca do turismo de aventura, abarcando suas contradições e interseções com outros nichos de turismo e sua articulação com três categorias distintas de análise: o risco; a diversidade e a interação; e o engajamento dos turistas. Realizado no âmbito de uma pesquisa de mestrado, esse ensaio visa a problematizar e aclarar as implicações atinentes a este pujante segmento do turismo, de forma a identificar possíveis vertentes para a sua análise. Assim, a partir de distintas concepções e considerando as condições sociais da atualidade, se identificam os elementos produtores das contradições do turismo de aventura e reconhece-se o potencial de renovação das relações advindas com as viagens de aventura.
其他摘要：This article is a theoretical assay on adventure tourism, addressing its contradictions and intersections with other tourism niches, and its relationship with three separate categories of analysis: risk; diversity and interaction; and the engagement of tourists. Carried out as part of the research for a Master’s degree, this essay investigates and clarifies the implications relating to this flourishing tourism segment, seeking to identify possible perspectives for its analysis. Also, based on different concepts, and in light of the social conditions today, it identifies elements that produce the contradictions of adventure tourism, and recognizes the potential for renewing relationships arising through adventure trips.
