摘要:The objective of this study is to describe how it performs Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER) The aim of this study is to describe the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER) in an agricultural cooperative and what is the profile of the professionals responsible for it, is questioning how this activity contributes to the complexity of associations and business aspects of cooperative management. Being organizations that need to comply with market requirements in the same way that value and promote the development of their members, they would need a technical body that coordinates the dual focus of its management and is responsible for implementing socio-economic promotion activities. The exploratory and descriptive research was a case study carried out in the Agricultural Cooperative Sponsorship in Minas Gerais and were interviewed all their ATER agents. It was concluded that one can define a Cooperative ATER integrating activities aimed to provide guidance to the cooperative as regards the improvement in the results of their work and living conditions in rural areas, also complementing with cooperative education activities that promote social and economic participation of members, contributing to a more efficient socioeconomic joint.
