摘要:This article measures parents’ awareness of their children in their integral formation as elementary students. A historical-hermeneutic approach using ethnographic methodology was applied in this study. The information was obtained through direct observation, as well as interviews with 10 parents with children in an educational institution in the city of Barranquilla. The results show that parents are generally unaware of their children’s integral formation and socio-emotional development; as a net result, it is necessary to implement monitoring programs to increase parents’ awareness on this issue. This latter fact would be a road to change.
