摘要:This study is of a descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional nature. Its main objective is to identify the differences between emotional intelligence features (EI) and gender in a random sample of university students, through the application of the Trait Meta-Mood Scale TMMS-24. The study had the participation of 213 Psychology students of public, higher education institutions (53 %) and private institutions (47 %), ages between 16-40 years comprised of 169 women and 44 men. The results show differences between gender and attention to emotions (t = 2.290 Sig = 0.019) and clarity of emotions (t = -0.040 Sig = 0.015). We concluded that, there are gender differences in emotional skills such as attending and being clear about the emotional-affective states.
