摘要：The freedmens' patrons in the Balkan-Danubian provinces are especially militars or ancient soldiers. The inscriptions mention also members of the equestrian order and of the municipal elite and freedmen. All have a common point: they are wealthy.The patrons' status influences the image of his freedman. On the other side, the way how the freedman lead his own business, his wealth and his authority are the expression of his individual qualities and of his success outside his patron's influence.
