摘要:This paper proposes a new method to measure the effectiveness of w eb advertising. The goal of this study is to show the effective layout of advertisements on news website, which gives the best impression and gets the most attention at the same time. We pursue this goal by conducting experiments where the participants view a variety of page layouts of news w ebsites. The results of the experiment on the attention degree and the impression degree are analyzed from the view point of the multi-objective optimization. Our analyses revealed that the layouts inserting advertisement into the left-up layout achieved the better performance than those in the right-up position and inner-right layout, w hich are the current standard layout.
