The Apuleius's theological-philosophical cosmology approached him of magic. For the author, there was an inherent association between magic, philosophy and religion, which is the ke y to understanding his worldview. In his works – mainly in De Deo Socratis – Apuleius established the connection of humans with the supernatural world through a reflection linked to Platonic demonology, conceptualizing the daimones as divine beings intermediate between gods and men and propitiated of many miracles associated with magic. In short, it was for intermediation of daimones that a select group of Philosophers – which would include the Apuleius himself – could coerce spiritual entities to assist them in different situations by providing them with the power to influence the course of events, to predict future actions, to grant healing to several diseases, among other miraculous acts
