摘要：I completed my BA in history in 1981, at the University of São Paulo, went to anMA in social anthropology in 1982, staying at the same time as in intern at theArchaeological and Ethnological Museum (MAE-USP), again in the same university. In1985 I was accepted as lecturer at the São Paulo State University - UNESP, campus atAssis, to work with ancient history disciplines and to do research in the area. Icompleted my PhD in 1990, after field work for several years in Spain, Italy and mostlyBritain, for my dissertation was on Roman amphorae inscriptions found there. I thengot a job at Unicamp, after a formal exam (concurso público) in 1990, and from 1992 Iam at Unicamp, first as lecturer, then as reader (1996, Livre-Docente) and thenprofessor (2004). Meantime, I had several postdoc positions in Barcelona, Illinois, andother places.
