  • 摘要:The major pollutants emitted from Spark Ignition engine are carbon monoxide (CO) and unburnthydrocarbons (UHC). These are hazardous and cause health problems to human beings, and hence control of thesepollutants calls for immediate attention. It has been identified from the literature review that copper coating inside thecylinder head and over the piston crown will reduce the emission and increase the overall performance. Hence, in thisProject work piston is coated using copper and experiment will be conducted. The Bajaj 150cc vehicle load is used forconducting experiment. The copper coated engine is used to improve the engine, Fuel consumption and emission (HC,CO, O2, and CO2). The performance characteristics of the copper coated engine will also been studied.
