摘要:The increasing demand of electricity as daily fundamental requirement has lead to its significantimportance. The Power Systems are highly non-linear in nature and exhibit low frequency oscillations. Therefore, thepower system stability is one of the major important concern regarding the operation of power system. This paperdetermines about the power system stability, the classification of stability, oscillations with their types and the PowerSystem Stabilizers along with its various designs namely Residue Based Multi-Level and H∞ based controller design.Both of these designs of PSSs come under the category of Supervisory Power System Stabilizers and have greaterimportance regarding the oscillations damping than conventional PSSs.
