  • 摘要:The effect of various welding processparameters on the weld ability of stainless Steelspecimens of grade 312 having dimensions 75mm×55mm× 6 mm, welded by plasma arc welding wereinvestigated. The welding current, arc voltage, weldingspeed, are chosen as welding parameters. The depth ofpenetrations were measured for each specimen after thewelding operation is done on closed butt joint and theeffects of welding speed, current, voltage parameters ondepth of penetration were investigated. The mainmotivation of this project is to increase the weldingdepth. Next thing is to improve the welding quality anddecrease the production cost of the stainless steel. But itis not improved at all sides, till now welding depth isbelow 3mm. So our particular aim is to improve thewelding depth and also to establish the perfect methodfor welding in stainless steel materials.
