摘要:The environments under which aerial survey cameras are used often differdrastically from the controlled environment under which they are calibrated.As a result, the image quality and the geometry may differ fromthe values reported in the calibration certificate.The environmental conditions of the aerial surveys have been investigatedby means of an international questionnaire. The answers provided therange of temperature and atmospheric pressure to which the cameras areexposed. Certain conditions of pressure and temperature have been simulatedin the laboratory to determine geometric changes in one Americanmapping camera. These are reported. Suggestions for better control areadvanced. A review of the literature is made and summary results fromWorking Group member studies are reported.
