摘要：Objective:
To determine the role of operating microscopic magnification in reducing its recurrence after surgical excision of pre-auricular sinus.
Material and Methods:
All patients who underwent microscopic magnification guided surgical excision of preauricular sinus were studied. Follow up was carried out for one year for recurrence and other complications.
Results:
One year follow up revealed satisfactory results regarding recurrence (10%) and post operative complications.
Conclusion:
Magnification under operating microscope gives good results regarding recurrence, tissue trauma, wound infection, ugly scar and complete excision.
