摘要:The properties of microalloyed steels can be improved through the proper selection of alloy compositionand an appropriate thermo-mechanical controlled processing (TMCP) route. The present study explains the propertiesof microalloyed steel by microstructural changes through various thermo-mechanical processes. The present workreveals the effect of annealing temperature and time on the microstructure and properties of the heavily deformedspecimen of microalloyed steel of the API X60 grade steel. In these experiments, warm rolling deformation was applied for 69.91% thickness reduction of the specimen at about600˚C. These warm rolled specimens were annealed at 750˚C, with varying annealing time. The specimens wereallowed to free cool with varying annealing time(20-100s) for microstructure and property evaluation. It was observedthat the volume fraction of recrystallisation increases with increase in annealing hold time for warm rolled specimensannealed at 750˚C. and ferrite grain size increases with increase in annealing hold time.
