摘要:Multilevel inverters have been widely used in medium and high voltage applications. The generalfunction of the multilevel inverter is to synthesize a desired AC voltage from several levels of DC voltages. As thenumber of voltage level increases, the harmonic content decreases significantly. Different modulation techniques havebeen proposed to control the multilevel inverter. This paper presents switching strategies for multilevel inverters basedon space vector PWM (SVPWM) and sine-triangle PWM (SPWM). The study of space vector modulation techniquereveals that it utilizes DC bus voltage more efficiently, generates less harmonic distortion and improves harmonicperformance when compared with Sinusoidal PWM (SPWM) technique. The main objective of this study is toreduce total harmonic distortion and comparison of THD.In this paper a model for Space vector PWM is made andsimulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and its performance is compared withSinusoidal PWM.
