摘要:The influence of apodisation on the resolution of two point objects in the case of shrinkapertures of rotationally symmetric optical systems has been studied by applying the modified Sparrowcriterion introduced by Asakura to suit the case of unequally bright object points. The results arepresented in terms of Rayleigh and Sparrow limits obtained for coherent, partially coherent andincoherent illuminations. It is found that shaping of the aperture along with the chosen Hanningamplitude filter is effective in increasing the resolving power of the optical imaging systems.
