摘要：The authors studied the possibility of satellite remote sensing for themonitoring of forest fire occurred at Kalimantan and Sumatera of Indonesia in1991. Using the daily observation data by NOAA/AVHRR. the spatial distributionand the temporal change of fire smoke and firing spots were detected. Theresult of the study verified the possibility of real time monitoring of tropicalforest fire by the operational reception and processing of NOAA satellite data
