摘要:The 3D buildings change over the time not only geometrically, but also semantically. However, the current existing 3D city models are not able to represent the change information, because they are reconstructed on the basis of information frozen at one certain time point. Although lots of available spatio-temporal data models have been reported in the literature, they can hardly manage complex 3D geometries along with their semantic changes at different levels of details. More critically, they do not support continuous spatiotemporal changes. This paper presents an approach for integrating and representing time-dependent features in 3D building models. The proposed spatiotemporal data model is hierarchical entity-based. It is intended to circumvent the above mentioned problems by adding timestamps to entities, categorizing the spatiotemporal changes, and mathematically describing the processes of changes. This data model could be realized either by extending the widespread OpenGIS standard CityGML or by establishing an own relational database.
