摘要:One of the most important factors affecting efficiency of microbial fuel cell is electrode. In this study, chemical modification of electrode was considered. To increase the efficiency of electrodes, aniline was deposed on the electrode and the efficiency was evaluated through polymerizing of electrode. Experiments were conducted using a two-chamber microbial fuel cell, Saccharomyces microorganism and glucose substrate. The efficiency was determined in stationary conditions for original graphite electrode and the modified electrode. The results showed that by modifying electrode with polyaniline polymer, power density in the microbial fuel cell increased up to 1.2 times of the graphite electrode. An optimal time existed (14 hours) in which microorganism population hence the current density, the power density and voltage generated were maximum
