摘要:Using new technologies and the quality management practices can be useful tools in achieving competitive advantages between technology-based organizations. This research mainly aims to study the IT competency impact on achieving competitive advantage regarding the mediating role of quality management practices. The method of research is practical, in terms of objectives, and it is a descriptive survey, in terms of its nature. The statistical population of research is managers and personnel of Pasargad Electronic Payment Company. There were 300 people in the company, and, according to Cochran formula, 170 questionnaires were given to the members of the research community. The researcher has used simple random sampling in this research. To gather the data, a questionnaire, which the supervisor and expertise had confirmed its reliability, has been used. In addition, Cronbach's alpha was used to confirm validity. The results indicated the confirmation of all aspects of the planned questionnaire. Smart PLS software was used to analyze the gathered data of the research. The findings show that IT competency influences on achieving competitive advantage, and quality management practices affect achieving of competitive advantage; however, the mediating role of quality management practices in IT competency impact on achieving competitive advantage was not confirmed. Additionally, the results of secondary hypotheses show that all aspects of IT competency, such as quality of information, IT integration, flexibility, and IT technical knowledge, are effective on achieving competitive advantage. On the other hand, all aspects of quality management practices, such as leadership, focus on client, human resources, providers management, and strategic planning, are effective on achieving competitive advantage.
