摘要：From 22 to 24 of September 2006 Rzeszów Universitywas hosting participants from the 1st World Scientifi cCongress of Sports and Martial Arts. In the scien tists’meeting which was organized by Physical EducationFaculty and Podkarpackie Scientifi c Association ofPhysical Culture in Rzeszów over 140 participants fromAmerica, Asia and Europe took part. The Congresswas under the auspices of Chief of the GeneralStaff of the Polish Armed Forces. The president ofthe Organization Committee was Prof. KazimierzObodyński who is also a Dean of the Faculty ofPhysical Education of Rzeszow University, and theScientifi c Committee was chaired by Prof. RomanM. Kalina who is also a chief of Combat SportsDepartment on the Faculty of Physical Education ofRzeszów University, the secretary of the Congresswas Prof. Wojciech Cynarski
