摘要:The present generation faces new problems in their life. Teachers need to be equipped with skills to help them to tackle these new and more complex problems regarding students unrest, colleagues as well as authorities and the responsibility towards his/her families. The teachers have to face innumerable challenges and play different roles in their institutions. Emotional Intelligence (EI) is an individual part of general body, mind and well-being, also refers to the ability to perceive, control and evaluate emotions. If the teacher educator is with high EI has self- awareness then it enables him to recognize feelings and manage emotions. This paper deals with the relationship of well-being and emotional intelligence of teacher educators teaching in the colleges of education in Haryana. The sample consists of 500 teacher educators serving in the colleges of education in Haryanastate which includes 250 males and 250 females selected at random from 175 institutions. The tools used are General Well-Being Measure by Dr. Santosh Verma and Ms Amita Verma and Teacher's Emotional Intelligence Inventory by Dr. (Mrs.) Shubhra Mangal. The result shows that there is significant difference between the well-being of teacher educators (male and female) having high and low emotional intelligence. Thus the teacher educators who are the made-up of constructive mind of future teachers should be emotionally intelligent so that they may be of high character and well-balanced personality to create healthy atmosphere in class-rooms and outer world.
