摘要:Physiological study in relation to exercise and actual physical demand duringevent is very important to critically understand physiological basis of performance. The fatigue causing factors workload, recovery pattern from fatigue etc. should bevery specifically understood in real terms. Understanding this background, theresearch scholar took up research project to investigate in- depth and detailedPhysiological responses of two Long distance running events 5000mts and10.000mts.For the purpose of this Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) were chosen as theIndicators of physiological responses and fatigue of long distance runners. Thepurpose of the study was to assess Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) responses of Longdistance runners under actual competition. For the purpose of this study LactateDehydrogenase (LDH) were chosen as the indicators of Physiological responses oflong distance runners. The blood sample for Lactate Dehydrogenase was collected byan expert pathologist, and it was analyzed in the standard pathology lab of nationalstandard. The LDH was measured in units/liter. In order to analyze the datadescriptive statistics and t- test was applied and level of significance was set at 0.05level. Comparison between the pre-test and post test means of lactate dehydrogenaseof 5000mts runners revealed that t-value is 5.025 which is significant at 0.05 levelwith degree of freedom 9. Comparison between the Pre-test and Post-test means ofLactate Dehydrogenase of 10,000mts runners revealed that t-value is 6.75 which issignificant at 0.05 level with 18 degree of freedom. The post- test mean scores ofLactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) (432.0) are significantly higher than the pre-testmean scores of LDH (383.0) after 5000mts distance running. This clearly impliesLactate Dehydrogenase accumulation significantly increases as result of 5000 mts.The Post-test mean scores of LDH (407.20) are significantly higher than the Pre-testmean scores of LDH (371.10) after 10,000m distance running. Hence it can be alsoinfer categorically that 10000meter distance running event causes significant increasein Lactate Dehydrogenase accumulations.
