摘要:When I was preparing to be a teacher in the early 1970s, it was believed thatpeople learned to teach through “training.” Prospective teachers enteredtraining programs—usually 4-year teacher education programs at collegesor universities—where, in addition to general education courses, they were introducedto important ideas about human development and schooling, equipped with teachingmethods in the subject areas, and then, in the spring of their senior year, sent out to“practice” teaching.
