摘要:This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional profile of tennis players. The sample consisted of 14 tennis players aged 20 to 35 years old. For the anthropometric profile, body weight and height were measured, and the Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat percentage (%BF) were estimated. For food intake evaluation, a 24-hour recall was applied. The players were eutrophic, according to BMI (23.4 kg/m2) and had normal %BF (13.8%). Energy intake was adequated; however, had an excess of lipids (32.3 ± 6.1 %) and proteins (2.51 + 0.87g/kg) intake and insufficient carbohydrates (5.83 + 1,98g/kg) intake were found. It was concluded that the tennis players showed adequate body composition; however, food intake was inadequate, which may affect negatively their performance.
