摘要:In this article, we report the results of an extensive review of the literature regarding the participation of Black males in Advanced Placement courses and their performance on Advanced Placement exams. We analyzed differences between Black males and White males in the context of advanced level courses to provide a historical perspective of the inequities that have existed across the nation. The social capital and stereotype threat theories provided the lens through which the presence and impact of academic inequity was examined. As a result of the literature review, a noticeable dearth of research specific to Black males in AP courses was discovered.
