摘要：The recent and rapid advancements in thetechnology and the distinct features of MANETs have madethe use of MANETs more prevalent. With the ever increasingapplications, the weakness of these networks against a varietyof attacks has been unveiled. MANETs doesn’t have clear andefficient mechanisms to detect or prevent the attacks, soattacker node can easily interrupt and destroy the wholesystem or may take control over the information beingtransmitted in the network. Attackers introduce various kindsof attacks and every attack has its own degree of impact on thenetwork. Security is a major concern in MANETs because ofits intrinsic vulnerabilities. This survey paper focuses onvulnerabilities and various kinds of security attacks inMANETs.
