摘要:The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between students' accurate and fluent silent reading skills and their co mprehension. The participants of the stud y were 401 students studying at 1 st to 4 th grades. These students were from two state schools and a private school located in regions with different socio - economic levels. The data on the participants' accurate and fluent reading skills were gathered using Accurate and Fluent Silent Reading Test (A FSRT) and the data on their comprehension levels were obtained through comprehension tests developed by the researchers. The obtained data were analysed using SPSS. As a result of the data analysis, there was a statistically significant relationship between the 1 st and 3 rd graders' accurate and fluent reading skills and their comprehension levels
