摘要：As the internet evolves and computer networks become bigger and bigger, network security has become oneof the most important factors for companies to consider. This paper concerns about the security of confidential informationand data transmission using symmetric key cryptography with Genetic Algorithm in order to provide confidentiality,authentication, integrity and non-repudiation of the messages. First, an encryption algorithm is developed and implementedto achieve the aforementioned purpose. A plain text is encrypted using privet key, taken as input from user, to produce anintermediate cipher. The intermediate cipher is again encrypted using genetic algorithm to produce final cipher. The finalcipher first decrypted to produce the intermediate cipher which in turn decrypted to get the plain text using the Private Key.
