摘要:In this paper, the BER (bit error rate) of Ultra Wide Band (UWB) block transmission system is analyzedunder different multipath channel conditions. The effect of timing error in UWB transmission system is observed withexisting least mean square (LMS) channel estimation scheme. A new channel estimation scheme with timingsynchronization is proposed here which can reduce the BER to very high extent in case of multipath transmission ofOFDM or single carrier block transmission with frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) UWB systems. This schemeis based on channel impulse response (CIR) of the coarse timing error (CTE) to fine tune the timing position andfrequency domain equalization coefficients. This joint scheme also reduces preamble overhead by performing timingsynchronization along with the channel estimation and gives less BER with respect to a certain timing error which isagain analysed here.
