摘要:CeF3 nanophosphors with remarkable optical properties have been proposed as possible phosphors forlighting and various bio-applications. In the present paper, CeF3:RE3+ (Ln3+ : Nd3+ Sm3+ Eu3+, Gd3+, Tb3+, Dy3+,Ho3+, Er3+, Tm3+ and Yb3+) and CeF3codoped (Yb3+ Nd3+), (Tb3+ Yb3+), (Yb3+ Eu3+), (Yb3+ Ho3+), (Ho3+Nd3+), (Ho3+ Er3+), (Yb3+ Er3+) (Ho3+ Tb3+) nanocrystals were obtained by co-precipitation method. Nanoparticlesof a spherical shaped morphology and particle size 9-12 nm were observed. X-Ray diffraction (XRD), high resolutiontransmissionelectron microscopy (HR-TEM), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), photoluminescence(PL) were employed to characterize the samples. A detailed energy level diagram that contains the position of the levelsof all the trivalent lanthanide ions has been constructed for doped CeF3 and explained along with the energy transferprocess from one dopant to the other in the codopedCerium Fluoride nanophosphors. It has great potential applicationsin Light Emitting Devices, solid-state lasers, telecommunications, opto-electronics, biological labels and remotesensing.
