摘要：In this paper we propose a generalized searching strategy for judging the best route to retrieve the resul ts in unstructured peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. In our algorithm the query is sent to index table first. The index table will contain all the files names as index in the network. So that the peer will check its index table and revert the query back to the original node which has the resultant data in it. This process is efficient in retrieving the result within the time specified. We use a weighing algorithm for finding the best information among the peers
