摘要:The corrosion inhibition performance of mild steel in molar hydrochloric acid (1M HCl) solution in the presence of micro-composite [BC/PAM] (bleaching clay (Bentonite)) and polyacrylamide (synthetic polymer) was studied using weight loss and potentiodynamic measurements. The micro-composite reduces the corrosion rate and the inhibition efficiency (E W %) of BC/PAM increases with its concentration and attains 80% at 400 mg/l. E W % obtained from cathodic Tafel plots, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and gravimetric methods were in good agreement. The various thermodynamic parameters of metal dissolution and micro- composite adsorption process were elaborated by the adsorption mechanism.
