摘要：In the article referring to the first group of subthemes (»The Historical Dimension of Sociology ...«), debates concerning the connection between sociology and historical materialism are being analyzed in the context of the fifties. Implicitly, the point in question is the possibility of establishing the scientific status of sociology in Yugoslav society. At the same time, the issue introduced is being examined in relation to the anxiety of the ruling Marxist-Leninst ideology (— the unquestioned historical materialism), and in relation to the subject-matter of sociology itself. The articles written in the interval from 1953 to 1957/8 indirectly indicate the emancipatory tread of sociology with regard to other social sciences (psychology, science of law etc.) and Marxism, as well as the inevitable theoretical interference (decline from the diamant and the theory of reflection)
