  • 摘要:In India sexual harassment at workplace is one of the most common crimes against women. Equality before the law and equal protection of law between males and females is the Constitutional guaranty on the strength of which several legal provisions are present in the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Some special legislation has also been enacted from time to time for the prevention and control of sexual exploitation of women. Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is one of them. The Act explains what all can tantamount to sexual harassment and how workplaces need to be proactive ensuring the rights of a woman. This paper is an attempt to explain lucidly the periphery of the Act and how organizations to should act upon in protecting and preserving the dignity of a woman.
