摘要:Upgrading shows that both local and global dimensions matter. Clustering and transnational corporations offer substantial advantages, and participating in global value chains and interacting with foreign buyers and companies may enhance local firms' capabilities to produce goods. However, what matters most markedly is the form of governance of value chains and clusters, which affects the upgrading process of territorial systems. Competitive factors that influence innovative models of regional economic development and lead to successful country and regional scientific and technological policies are investigated. The emergence of new fields, including research into responses to informationization and globalization, financial geography, etc., has brought more vitality and diversity into economic geography.
