摘要：In recent years, the vision of an information society has been undergoing intensive effectuation, also in the context of sustainable development. The concept of sustainable information society has been developed and refined for more than ten years. The aim of this paper is to explore the research on the sustainable information society. Firstly, the essence of the sustainable information society in the context of the information society concept is presented. Secondly, the status of research on the sustainable information society using a bibliometric and general qualitative literature analysis is diagnosed. The paper concludes with some academic recommendation about the road that lies ahead for the sustainable information society researchers.
