摘要:Recent advances in energy harvesting (EH) technologies permits wireless sensor network (WSNs) to extend their lifetime by getting the energy that is available in the environment. A sensor operates on a photovoltaic cell that charges based on the artificial light and daylight. Control algorithm is applied to the home automation system for getting results. Power manager manages the energy harvester and node supply. This paper measures the energy that is harvested from the daylight or artificial light and checks for its consumption, energy harvested, and available energy and evaluates them with respect to time and seasons (summers and winters). This harvested energy is put to use by controlling the home automation using wireless sensor networks.
