摘要：It is our great pleasure to bring yo u the fifth number of IJISPM - International Journal of Information Systems and Project Management. The mission of the IJISPM is the dissemination of new scientific knowledge on information systems management and project management, encouraging further progress in theory and practice. In this issue, readers will find important contributions on information systems sourcing, informatio n technology projects management, and on procurement as part of the supply chain management activities. As Mirella Muhic and Bj.rn Johansson state in their article "Sourcing motives behind sourcing decisions exposed through the Sourcing Decisio n Framework", t here is no doubt that information systems (IS) are the backbone of today's organizations. Having an initial inspection o n sourcing motives in the financial sector, it can be stated that resources used in development of information systems (IS) are seen as an important factor for sustained competitive advantage. However, it can be claimed that it depends to a high extent on the application of different sourcing modes. This lead the authors to a closer inspection on sourcing mo tives through selected case studies and the following research questio n: How can motives for sourcing options of IS-development be explained. In the article, the empirical investigation on sourcing decisions and the motives behind, in addition to a literature review on sourcing decisions and sourcing options , ends in four propositions. These propositions are then used in tandem with the findings from the empirical data for initial develop ment of the Sourcing Decision Framework (SDF).
