摘要:This study examines the influence of ‘soft’ and ‘harsh’ power based towards job satisfaction and determines the use of power by supervisor in Malaysia culture context. Specifically, this study examines whether employees comply more with the soft power bases or the harsh power bases and determine the compliance of power bases either the soft or harsh is related to job satisfaction. This study is conducted on 141 employees from three Government Linked Companies (GLCs) in Malaysia. This study found that there was more compliance with soft power bases than harsh power bases in Malaysia. The regression analysis using structure equation modeling (SEM) found that the compliance with the soft power bases were positively influence job satisfaction, meanwhile the compliance with harsh power bases negatively affect the job satisfaction
