摘要：Pattern matching problem has attracted a lot of interest throughout the history of image processing i.e. finger print recognition, face recognition, comp uter science, image processing ,character recognition, signature recognitio n, speech recognition, text processing, information retrieval and computational biology. Pattern matching also plays an important role in the field of information security, for example, in signature-based IDs and virus pattern matching. Here we demonstrate a method can b e devised from theoretical analysis by extensive experimentation and modification of existing algorithms. It works consistently well for both nucleotides and amino acids sequences. The result shows the robustness of the proposed algorithm and thus can be incorporated in exact pattern-matching application involving biological sequences
