摘要:J. Guilford's approach is considered to be a turning point in creativity studies. It is owing to him that tests have become so widely used in this research area. It is also acknowledged that only after Guilford's 'propaganda' did the interest in divergent abilities tests arise. The aim of this paper is to outline modern researches on creativity that, in spite of the disappointment in Guilford's approach, are still carried out within the frame offered by the 'reference point' defined by him. In the first part of this paper the authors review various definitions of creativity and its research methods.
