摘要：DC motors are widely used in industries because of its versatilecharacteristics and because of power electronics devices its controlling is becomingsophisticated and precise, but on the other hand because of the power electronicsdevices power factor and total harmonics distortion problem is becoming moreprominent. In this paper DC motor control methodology is proposed which includesthyristor based converters but with improved power factor and total harmonicsdistortion.
