摘要：Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación de tipo exploratorio, que tiene como objetivo, examinar el uso de las TIC y el potencial percibido por los estudiantes frente a éste. La muestra fue por conveniencia, constituida por 312 estudiantes matriculados actualmente en diferentes grados de enseñanza media de tres colegios oficiales del Municipio de Soledad-Atlántico. Se realizó una entrevista con preguntas abiertas sobre el potencial que perciben tener los estudiantes y las oportunidades de usar las TIC y se utilizó una encuesta que incluía preguntas relacionadas con la utilidad y beneficios de la enseñanza recibida, habilidad en el manejo de las herramientas y la disposición presentada hacia el tema del uso de las TIC. Los resultados indican que en esta zona del Departamento del Atlántico, los educandos conservan un alto índice de actitud positiva frente a su uso, pero una baja oferta de recursos tecnológicos que estimule y preserve el potencial.
其他摘要：This article is the result of an exploratory research, which aims to examine the use of ICTs and the potential perceived by the students concerning them. The sample, consisting of 312 students currently enrolled in different grades of secondary education in three public schools at the Municipality of Soledad- Atlantico. They were interviewed with open questions about the potential that students perceive and about the opportunities to use ICT at schools, and used a survey that included questions about the usefulness and benefits from that education, skill in handling tools and made available to the subject of ICT. The results indicate that in this area of the Departamento del Atlántico, the students maintain a high level of positive attitude towards their use, but a low supply of technological resources to encourage and preserve this potential.
