摘要：El artículo se propone determinar los factores que condicionan la productividad investigativa de los docentes que laboran en el Núcleo Costa Oriental del Lago de la Universidad del Zulia. Se aplicó la técnica de la encuesta reforzada con entrevistas no estructuradas a una población de 57 docentes. Los resultados revelaron que: a) la productividad investigativa responde más a la consecución de intereses particulares del docente que al desarrollo científico-tecnológico de la institución; b) las actividades docentes y administrativas prevalecen por encima de la labor investigativa; c) La falta de adecuadas políticas académicas desestimula la investigación
其他摘要：This article has been made with the purpose of determinate the factors that conditionated the research into productivity of teachers whom work at the Núcleo Costa Oriental del Lago of the Universidad del Zulia. The poll technique reforced by non-structured interviews was applied, to a population of 57 teachers. The results revealed that: a) the research into the productivity is more into a particular interest´s consecution of teachers rather than the technological-scientific development of the institution; b)both, teachers and administrative activities prevail under the researching work; c) the lack of proper academic politics puts down the research
