摘要:Towards the end of 2007, Taiwan's Congress (Legislative Yuan) suddenly and unexpectedly passed the Protection Act for the Traditional Intellectual Creations of Indigenous Peoples (hereafter referred to as ―Protection Act‖). 1 Little discussion of this protection act occurred in the academic community prior to its passage into law. Why was the protection act approved by the legislature. Is the model for the protection of traditional knowledge specified by the protection act appropriate. These questions warrant in-depth analysis.
