摘要：Inspired by the structure and functioning of the biological cell, membrane computing is a novel class of computational models where its devices are called P systems. In this paper tissue-like P system is proposed to improve region based segmentation using 2D image and 4-adjacency neighborhood relation between pixels. Artificial image is used and the algorithm is simulated using tissue simulator. This work proves that region based segmentation with membrane computing is done in a constant number of steps (9 steps) regardless of the size of the image Furthermore, different color relations have been explored to show the effect of color on the segmentation results
